The Dealmix presents users with a compact version of the many local coupons and deals available through multiple websites each day. Users can receive a daily update that includes offers from Amazon, Living Social, Groupon and many other popular coupon and discount sites. The site presents the user with a large embedded Google Map that shows their local area. Colorful filters allow the user to narrow down their results. Filter options include food and drink, kids and parents, dental and medical, activities and events, shopping, classes and many more. A built in search gives users an easy way to seek out specific deals or businesses. Yelp ratings are incorporated and provide the user with another filter option. The user can choose to view offers with a specific Yelp rating as well as those posted today.

The Dealmix was founded by Sanjay Mavinkurve and Vijay Boyapati in July of 2011. The website was intended to help users find local deals across numerous online resources. The current version has received a fair amount of positive comments and reviews from many sources, including Stumble Upon. Users can see where each deal is located geographically and view only those that they find interesting with the help of the simple filter system.

There are many websites that offer local deals, many of which provide enticing discounts that can be as much as 50% or more off. As this concept has become popular, more and more websites began popping up with no good way to organize them all. The Dealmix provides users with a simple way to gain a better perspective on available offers without filling their email inbox up with multiple emails from numerous daily deal websites.

The interface utilized by The Dealmix is about as easy as it can be. The user can see their local area using the Google Map that makes up the entire background. A pair of tabs to the left gives the user access to the filter options along with a list view option. The colorful hues used for each filter along with the detailed Google Map let the user gather all the information they need about each local deal quickly and painlessly. The Dealmix significantly simplifies the way users browse local coupon deals.

A new visitor to The Dealmix is greeted by a pop up box containing the registration form. A blue button at the bottom, center of the box invites users to sign in with a Facebook account. Others can provide an email address and password in the fields provided then click the orange “Go!” button to the right of the form. The user is automatically logged in and presented with a map of their local area. Users can also close the pop up box using the link at the bottom if they do not wish to sign up right away.

The Dealmix provides users with access to information that is otherwise available for free (although it would take a little more time to obtain and sort out). The site does not charge a fee for its service. This is definitely a good thing because most users would be deterred if they had to pay just to scout out coupons and discounts they may or may not take advantage of. Of course the user will have to pay any fees required for any deals they decide to purchase however there are no purchase requirements instated by The Dealmix.

The Dealmix is an excellent resource for anyone who loves daily deal and coupon websites. The user can dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes to go through their local deals by filtering them through The Dealmix first. The website is easy to use and gives the user a glimpse of deals in their local area. Numerous filters are also available to there is something for just about anyone.
